If you have questions about your dental care, we completely understand—there is a lot to know when it comes to dentistry…this is why Dr. Parry takes so much continuing education each year! Thankfully, it’s easy to get all the knowledge you need from our team. Below, we’ve gone ahead and answered some of the most common questions we receive every day, but if there is anything else you’d like to know about that we haven’t covered here, be sure to give us a call.
How often should I visit the dentist?
At minimum, we recommend seeing a dentist at least twice a year for a checkup and cleaning, though some guests (particularly those with gum disease) may require more frequent visits. We’ll let you know what would be best for you after you come to see us for the first time.
What does it mean when a dentist is a Kois Center graduate?
The Kois Center is a post-graduate training institution for dentists, and it’s one of the most well-respected in the world. Dentists from all over the globe come to Seattle to attend its courses, and only the most dedicated complete them all. Dr. Parry is a graduate of the Kois Center, meaning he’s not only familiar with the latest dental technology and techniques, but he also takes a tremendous amount of pride in the quality of care he provides.
Do you offer teledentistry?
Yes, you can learn how our Virtual Smile Consultation works by visiting this page.
How can dental care affect my overall health?
Your oral and overall health are deeply connected in many different ways. Harmful bacteria found in the mouth can often travel throughout the body and lead to trouble in other organs, and general health conditions can create symptoms in the mouth as well. The ability to chew food thoroughly has a significant impact on someone’s capacity to digest and process nutrients as well. The list goes on, but by keeping this connection in mind, we’re able to take care of much more than our guests’ teeth and gums.
My tooth hurts. What should I do?
Are you experiencing a little temperature sensitivity? If so, then switching to a sensitive tooth toothpaste should help. However, if the toothache is persistent and only getting worse, go ahead and give our dental office a call. We can take care of you right away at a same-day emergency visit.
Will you take my dental insurance?
Magnolia Shores Family Dental is able to work with the majority of dental insurance providers, so the answer is likely yes! Give us a call today so we can go over your benefits and let you know how much you’ll save at your next visit.
I don’t have dental insurance. Is there another way I can save on my care?
Yes! You can sign up for our in-house membership plan. It provides many of the same benefits as traditional dental insurance, but for a lower price and with less red tape.
